On behalf of our client based in Nakuru, we are recruiting a
highly
skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with at least five (5) years of
proven experience and CPA-K certification. The successful candidate
will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring
compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic
financial decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- ✓ Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including
ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
- ✓ Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and
prepare financial statements.
- ✓ Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely billing
and collections.
- ✓ Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- ✓ Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare statutory
returns (PAYE, VAT, NSSF, NHIF, etc.).
- ✓ Analyze financial data and trends to support budgeting,
forecasting, and financial planning.
- ✓ Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and
procedures.
- ✓ Collaborate with other departments to improve financial
performance and cost efficiency.
Requirements:
- ✓ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ✓ Certified Public Accountant – Kenya (CPA-K) is mandatory.
- ✓ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance roles.
- ✓ Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting
Standards (IFRS) and Kenyan tax laws.
- ✓ Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or
ERP systems.
- ✓ Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- ✓ Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- ✓ High level of integrity and professionalism.
- ✓ Experience working in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
- ✓ Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
