On behalf of our client, a leading poultry farming and food processing company, we are seeking a disciplined and vigilant Security Officer to safeguard the organization's people, property, assets, and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure working environment by implementing security procedures, controlling access, preventing losses, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding effectively to security incidents across the company's farms, processing plants, warehouses, offices, and distribution facilities.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards across company premises and operations.
Manage access control systems and ensure proper authorization and verification of employees, visitors, contractors, and other third parties.
Supervise security personnel, including deployment, shift scheduling, performance management, training, and discipline.
Oversee CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, security technology, and other monitoring systems to ensure effective security coverage.
Conduct regular security patrols, inspections, and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with established security standards.
Protect company personnel, assets, facilities, information, and other resources against theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other security threats.
Lead the response to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and other critical events, ensuring timely escalation and appropriate action.
Oversee the maintenance of security occurrence books, incident reports, investigation reports, and other security documentation.
Monitor and control the movement of goods, vehicles, employees, visitors, and contractors entering or leaving company premises.
Lead investigations into security breaches, theft, loss, fraud, misconduct, and other security-related incidents, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
Conduct regular security risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address identified threats and vulnerabilities.
Coordinate with the police, fire services, emergency responders, regulatory authorities, and other relevant external agencies when required.
Oversee fire safety, emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and business continuity measures in collaboration with relevant departments.
Support the implementation of occupational health and safety initiatives and promote a strong safety and security culture across the organization.
Establish and maintain emergency response and crisis management procedures, including drills and simulations where appropriate.
Coordinate security arrangements for high-value deliveries, sensitive operations, VIP visitors, and other high-risk activities.
Monitor and report emerging security threats, suspicious activities, and security trends to senior management, with recommendations for appropriate action.
Ensure security operations comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
Prepare regular security performance reports, risk reports, incident analysis, and management updates.
Manage relationships with external security service providers and monitor their performance against agreed service standards.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities reasonably assigned by management.
Skills & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Security Studies, Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
Professional certification in Security Management is an added advantage.
Minimum three (3) years’ progressive experience in security operations, preferably at supervisory or managerial level.
Proven experience in corporate, commercial, industrial, or manufacturing security environments.
Demonstrated experience in physical security management and security operations.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is highly desirable.
