Senior Accountant

Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting and finance operations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records.
Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Perform monthly bank, supplier, and ledger reconciliations.
Prepare and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
Conduct financial analysis and provide management reports.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Prepare and file VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax, and other statutory returns.
Coordinate internal and external audits.
Develop and strengthen internal financial controls.
Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.
Support inventory valuation and stock reconciliations.
Analyze production costs and profitability.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial closing.
Supervise and mentor junior finance staff.
Support ERP implementation and financial system improvements.
Liaise with banks, auditors, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders.
Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
Perform any other finance-related duties as assigned.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum of 7 years' accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior accounting role.
Experience in the FMCG or manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.
Experience managing audits and statutory compliance.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
